In August 2007, Greg Graham and John King established G&K Publishing LLC to publish the first book of the Byron Carmichael series. As a publisher, G&K teamed with central Ohio editor Lindsay Mizer, and central Ohio illustrator Michael Warner to complete the title for printing. G&K, then teamed with Bookmasters Inc./Atlasbooks of Ashland, OH for the first run printing of the novel and distribution.
